Descrição: A Oi Kabum! Escola de Arte e Tecnologia é um projeto do Instituto Oi Futuro em parceria com a organização não-governamental CIPÓ – Comunicação Interativa, a SEDES - Secretaria do Desenvolvimento Social e Combate à Pobreza e Unesco. A iniciativa tem como objetivo promover formação em linguagens multimídia, a inserção qualificada do jovem no mundo do trabalho e o acesso a bens culturais. O projeto é um forte canal de formação, informação e expressão, com toda a potencialidade de se tornar um pólo produtor de cultura audiovisual jovem e criativa. A Escola, localizada em um Centro Social Urbano – ex-Casa de Serviços Viva Nordeste - no bairro do Nordeste de Amaralina, conta com equipamentos avançados em tecnologia para criação e tratamento de imagens. São ao todo 24 computadores PC, 18 Macintosh, uma ilha de edição, um laboratório fotográfico e salas polivalentes. Durante 18 meses, os jovens, moradores de duas comunidades populares de Salvador, Subúrbio Ferroviário e Nordeste de Amaralina, têm aulas nas linguagens de Vídeo, Fotografia, Design Gráfico e Computação Gráfica, além de participarem de atividades de Desenvolvimento Pessoal e Social, Leitura e Expressão, História da Arte e Comunicação Digital. The Oi Kabum! Art and Technology School is a project of Oi Futuro Institute in partnership with the NGO CIPÓ - Interactive Communication, the SEDES – Secretariat of the Social Development and Combat Poverty and UNESCO. The initiative has as objective to promote the formation in multimedia languages, the qualified insertion of the youngster in the work market and the access to the cultural areas. The project is a strong channel of formation, information and expression, with all the potentiality to become a producing center of creative young audiovisual culture. The School, placed in an Urban Social Center – former Casa de Serviços Viva Nordeste - in the northeast suburb of Amaralina, counts with advanced equipment in technology for images creation and treatment. They are 24 PC computers, 18 Macintosh, an editing room, a photographic laboratory and multipurpose rooms. During 18 months, the youngsters, inhabitants of two popular Salvador communities, Railroad Suburb and Northeast of Amaralina, have lessons in the languages of Video, Photograph, Graphical Design and Graphical Computation, besides participating in activities of Personal and Social Development, Reading and Expression, History of the Art and Digital Communication
